Today, the 27th of September, is the World Tourism Day. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide.
It has been celebrated since 1980 and has a different theme each year. 2013 the theme is: Tourism and Water: Protecting our Common Future. Please read more here: www.un.org/en/events/tourismday/
It can be good fun and sometimes vital to know a few phrases in the language of the country you are visiting. Our bilingual songs can’t get you a cup of coffee, but you can at least connect and have fun through the well known melodies.
Wishing you all an inspiring World Tourism Day!
