Torgeir Vassvik plays orginal compositions and traditional tunes, combining joik and the Sami drum with throat joik and natural sound. He presents this together with some of Norway’s most innovative musicians. He comes all the way from Finnmark, the northernmost point of the Norwegian mainland, a stormy and barren landscape hidden in darkness through the winter. The polar sunlight that shines day and night throughout the summer months never manages to raise temperatures to those normally associated with summer. Vassvik is a Sami artist whose soundscapes mirror the extraordinary land that is his home. So comrades the joik story continues…!

This venture has seen much success and the band has travelled to France, Poland, Estonia, Japan, Germany, Russia, Siberia, Belgium, Iceland, Hungary as well as within Norway. They are playing the UK for the first time.
