I love when the United Kingdom and Sweden connect. My two worlds. So it feels special that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have just visited Stockholm. Their schedule has been well planned and even the Swedish winter weather has been keen to show its best side, at least in the beginning (we won’t even mention the snow chaos towards the end). On their first day in Stockholm there was a beautiful layer of snow in the trees,  the sun was shining and it was not too cold – just perfect. I read in Aftonbladet that Prince William comment to the weather was “crisp and fresh”.

The British Royal couple has been guided around Stockholm by the Swedish Royal couple Crown Princess Viktoria and Prince Daniel. Together they have for example visited the Nobel Museum, the Karolinska Institute, the ArkDes Museum, Gamla Stan and other famous locations in Stockholm. On Wednesday they also visited a British Design exhibition at the Swedish department store Nordiska Kompaniet also known as NK. It was a huge honour to find out that our “Kids Songs – Our favourites in English and Swedish” was chosen to be part of the Goodie Bag that both Royal couples received from NK. Music connects the UK and Sweden in many ways indeed.

Prince William also gave a beautiful speech in which he talked about the special bond between Sweden and the UK, click here to read it in Svensk Damtidning.

‘Kids Songs- our Favourites in English and Swedish’ can be bought in Stockholm from NK Lek & Baby and from TotallySwedish in London – and of course directly from this website:-)
